Poker Terms: WRAP
A wrap is a draw which consists of at least three different hands, which complete your straight. Mainly used in Omaha hold’em, a wrap is generally an open ended straight draw, which comprises of two board cards, coupled with three or four cards from the player’s hand. So for example, if a player is holding 3-4-5-A, and the board has 6-7-K, then he is said to have a wrap, as any of the cards, 3, 4, 5 or even 8, would make a straight.

In case the above scenario included a hand of 4-5-8-9, then it would be a wrap draw, which is called a big wrap because of the twenty outs, instead of the 1-3 before, as well as the fact that it is not at the idiot end. In some cases a wrap may prove to be better scenario than having nuts.

Another definition of a wrap popularly accepted is that instead of just being a draw, a wrap could also be the starting hand, where all the cards are really close in value. So this would make 8-9-T-J double suited the best wrap, with 3-4-5-7 following a close second.
